Today AWS officially launched new AWS Asia Pacific Hub in Singapore! 🎉 and were honoured to have Dr. Janil Puthucheary (Janil Puthucheary), Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, inaugurate this milestone.
Our incredible 360,000-square-foot space across eight floors is testament to our commitment to innovation in Asia Pacific. As AWS's regional headquarters, our new office will be home to more than 2,500 Amazonians. The hub is designed to be a place where ideas flourish, partnerships thrive, collaboration is a way of work, and our customers as well as partners can come together to truly innovate.
And it is more than just physical space – it's a significant investment in Singapore's future as a technology powerhouse, reaffirming our existing commitment to double our investment into existing cloud infrastructure to more than S$23 billion by 2028. This commitment is projected to contribute S$23.7 billion to Singapore’s GDP and support 12,300 jobs annually.
